Guys, please go grab a copy of the May 2007 issue of Fudge. Arthur has seen the fashion editorial and he says it's sick! I am quite excited to see it, and find out how Joel (AD of Fudge) created the sea creatures. That's enough of a clue for you guys.
Anyway, this editorial concept has been my baby for years. I've tried pitching the idea to the mens magazines I work with but no one ever bit! It took a pop-culture slash music magazine to finally finally FINALLY give me the go-signal to do it. *cheers*
Actually, I think it's worked out better this way because there were no rules to follow as to how bare or how covered-up it's supposed to be, no rules on how few or many the accessories I could add on were. I had control over the concept, a majority of the layouts, even the models to book.
I got Stefano, a model I've worked with a couple of times prior, and his girl Clarisse. Seeing that the concept is about a woman and the fantasies that play out behind closed doors, having a couple model it made the most sense. At the very least, they wouldn't be shy walking around half-naked in front of the other.
Everyone knows I can do sexy shoots blindfolded and with a hand tied behind my back, so I'm always looking for ways to make my sexy shoots tell a story. Oh, and also to accesorize swimsuits and lingeries without using belts. That's SO tired.
