Thanks for visiting my Multiply site!

After a long time, I have finally decided to use Multiply to showcase some of my styling work. Some of these are old, some of these are new. It all depends on which of the photographers and agencies I work for provide me with copies.

This is far from a complete portfolio. I've been pretty busy since 2006 started so I have a lot of things I have yet to post, some of which have been my best work to date.

I will upload items as fast as I fix them (resizing, photoshop tweaking, etc), provided I have free time to do so. Please try to check back in once in a while for new work. Oh, and I'm a comment addict so I'd really appreciate you guys leaving me a note or two. :)

Note: I do welcome new contacts but getting approved depends on the luck of the draw. Please don't put "friend" if I don't know you at all. That's a pet peeve.
I'm not as active on Multiply these days but you can find me here:

A couple of links on the topic of model releases.

Interesting for photographers, models, and people in the business.

Check your flicker accounts, it pays to be careful: http://www.flickr.com/groups/central/discuss/72157600541608353/page2/

Model release primer:
http://www.danheller.com/model-release-primer.html

From what I gathered, photographers have very little liability when it comes to this. Of course, this is in the USA. Does it follow in the Philippines?
The best craigslist ad ever?

Remember that guy who traded his giant paper clip upwards for a one year lease on an apartment, or something? Well, this craigslist ad tops that.

Guys, you have to take notes. We all know this guy is selling it, but man, we don't mind because he is selling it WELL.

Girls, fess up, who would have sent a pic if you were in the general vicinity of Seattle? ;)

Too much to ask?
  Date: 2007-08-09, 10:41AM PDT

Maybe this is asking too much, but . . I'm looking for inspiration and was wondering if there are any Seattle women out there who would be willing to share some of their goddess-energy with me, to put some spark in my day: I would really like to see your tits.

I don’t want to be your boyfriend, significant other, etc. We shouldn't need to meet. Online is preferred, since I don’t want to compromise you in any way. I don’t want your phone number, address, . . . nothing. I don’t need to see your face, just your tits.

I promise I won’t contact you or touch myself in any way. I’m not a p...

I just needed somewhere to post this (god knows I haven't posted in lj in about two years):

On relationship dynamics:

“[My dad and uncle] taught me that in every relationship, the person least interested in maintaining it is going to dominate it, because they’ll never compromise.
I know, I said I'll try and post happy songs. Maybe next time again?

There are supposed to be 16 songs in this playlist, I'll try to edit this once I publish to see if it's possible to add six more. If not, I'll just make another playlist. That would suck tho as my playlists usually have a story, one way or another.

Of course, I created this list right after I published the last one. As far as a window into my thoughts go, these thoughts are at least a month old. ;)

I still need to add six songs. How the hell can I complete the picture without them? *grumble*

Sorry for the disjointed post. Haven't had a good night's sleep in two weeks. My synapses are

Singapore Aug-Sept 2007 (Updated)

Just got back from Singapore. Part of me wants to transfer there, it's so clean and efficient.

Jay and I flew over for some business related stuff. We didn't get to do anything touristy, except go to the Night Safari. Since he opted to stay at the hotel most nights, thank god I have friends in the city. I basically just slept a maximum of three hours a night while there. Fun, right?

So, even though I never got to do touristy stuff, I still had loads of fun. Thanks everyone!

[Of course, there's a half-goal I didn't get to accomplish. Manila friends, you guys didn't pray enough, methinks. Kidding! (I think.) Good thing it was only a half-goal, or else I'd be super kicking myself in the butt. :) ]

Epson

Shot late last year, for release first quarter this year. I know, my bad. This is the first time I've had time to layout.

Please note that the layouts are not what appeared, these are my own. I just had fun with dropping these out and arranging them.

The portrait they chose is also different from this, warmer in tone. I just chose this because Iya has a slight resemblance to Paris in this photo. (Just a weird resemblance seeing that they look pretty different from each other really.)

Everything is just MINDSET.

Before I fly off to Bangkok tomorrow, I thought of posting a new playlist. They're in no particular order (except one, more on that later), just that the songs encapsulate the status of my brain.

As I said in the title, everything depends on mindset, and mine is that everything is perfectly peachy, damn whatever my brain is on. There's a bit of disconnect between what my brain and heart is thinking/feeling versus my mindset. Mind rules. Heh.

Anyway, the first song, I woke up yesterday needing to listen to it. So it was on a loop for a good 30 minutes, methinks. It's a good song. :)

Promise, my next playlist would be all happy, happy songs.

Stupid Video

We went on a long-ass road trip February 2007. One of the places we went to was vigan. It's the third time I've been there, and it's being ruined slowly but very surely. Tsk.

Anyway, we went to a place where they made clay pots and jars. I was supposed to take a photo but the manong started making a new one so I decided to video instead. Scatterbrain that I am, I was still holding the camera upright. As you can see from the video, I framed the whole thing for photography, not video. Yes, I know I'm a genius. :P

Drug related?

Both British, both female, both having a jazzy sound. Apparently, they don't get along. I just found these two songs fun to play side by side. Check out their other songs as these two were picked on the basis of, er, cuteness. ;P

Yeah, I know Rehab is the most overplayed Amy Winehouse song. She has better ones in my play list. I do think this is one of the most fun.

Fudge: Behind Closed Doors

Fudge Magazine April 2007.

Guys, please go grab a copy of the May 2007 issue of Fudge. Arthur has seen the fashion editorial and he says it's sick! I am quite excited to see it, and find out how Joel (AD of Fudge) created the sea creatures. That's enough of a clue for you guys.

Anyway, this editorial concept has been my baby for years. I've tried pitching the idea to the mens magazines I work with but no one ever bit! It took a pop-culture slash music magazine to finally finally FINALLY give me the go-signal to do it. *cheers*

Actually, I think it's worked out better this way because there were no rules to follow as to how bare or how covered-up it's supposed to be, no rules on how few or many the accessories I could add on were. I had control over the concept, a majority of the layouts, even the models to book.

I got Stefano, a model I've worked with a couple of times prior, and his girl Clarisse. Seeing that the concept is about a woman and the fantasies that play out be...

Fudge: Anti-Gravity

Fudge December 2006 fashion editorial.

This is one of my favorites, so much so that the second spread is part of the wallpaper design on my laptop. It seems that the longer I style, the more I like simplicity. I think it stems partly from seeing a few of the newer stylists pile on everything without thinking if it looks good. More often than not it doesn't as it was not well thought out.

Though these layouts are simple, medyo natuyuan ako ng utak dito. I'm sure there are a million and one ways to drape fabric, but coming from no sleep, and a very rushed shoot schedule, it was a bit hard to think up of ways to drape and arrange several different types of fabric. I guess that's another reason I love this editorial so, it ended up looking good in spite of the few problems I encountered.

Fudge: Champagne Wishes & Caviar Dreams

Fudge November 2006 fashion editorial ONE. There's another six-page fashion editorial that I'm not uploading anymore.

Sixteen pages total in one issue equals a month of my life, including pullout and returns. This is why you do editorials for love, not money. Aren't the gowns cool though? I love em, if only a) I could afford them, b) I could fit into them, c) I had somewhere to wear them. Haha!

For the opening spread, you guys don't know how hard it was to make Maike and the dress float. Thank goodness for gigantic skirts. I do love that red gown...

For Danielly's photos, we were kidding her a lot. She took a lot of behind the scenes photos to show her friends in Brazil what she does on a day to day basis. You know, eat lobster, drink champagne, relax in the tub... ;)

October 2006 fashion editorial for Fudge magazine.

It's underwater and it took hours. I was customizing the shirts that we used for the shoot on one end, while Jeremy Marquez (model/endorser of brand) was being half-drowned in the pool on the other. He is a trouper! Kudos to him.

Photography by Wesley Villarica.

Note: I'm using my ibuk to edit the photos and I still maintain that it has a crappy monitor. Top resolution is really low.
UNO November 2006 (with cover image)

Hi everyone! Watch out for the November issue of UNO magazine. I styled the cover and I'm pretty excited as to how it turned out. The images are great!!!

I only had 24 hours to pullout and I'm patting myself on the back as the cover model had specific instructions on what she wanted to wear. Thank goodness Marc worked his way around it. Would also like to thank (yes, acceptance speech ito haha) Nono Palmos as he was a lifesaver for this shoot. Cover image clothing is from his collection. Yes, a men's magazine having designer items on the cover. Kala niyo pang-fashion mag lang? UNO, still the classiest men's magazine in town. ;)

Please get your copies! For the work in progress beauty shot, she has peacock feathers on her hair and ears. Had to darken those areas to concentrate focus on her face. This is NOT the final image. I'm still deciding how much more to I need to tweak this.

One of my favorite shoots.

Of the food variety, that is.

Don't get me wrong, I know how to cook and I've been cooking on and off since i was little. I never used to cook for food shoots before. I mostly had food clients from the different restaurants so they had their own cooks or chefs and I was the prop stylist who could help with presentation.

This shoot, for Unipak Sardines, is the first shoot ever that i was required to cook EVERYTHING from scratch. Being a canned good company, of course they didn't have cooks. They gave me samples of their canned and bottled goods before the shoot, and of course, I can't use them because they're cooked through and thus too soft. Since the photos are "serving suggestion" type, the best would be to cook the fish, et al, from fresh.

I love how everything turned out. I have to give thanks to one of their staff who helped in the cleaning, gutting and filleting of the different types of fish. She's a wizard with fish! Can you imagine cleaning and filleting the fish that becomes tuy...
